Mass schedule revised SALISBURY-DELMAR -- Beginning Sept. 11 and 12, 2010, Masses in Holy Redeemer Church, Delmar, will be at 5:30 p.m. Saturday and at 9:30 a.m. Sunday; additional Masses will be in Latin at 3 p.m. the first Sunday of the month, and in Korean at 7:30 p.m. the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. Masses in St. Francis de Sales Church in Salisbury will be at 4 p.m. Saturdays and at 8 a.m., 10:30 a.m. and noon Sundays, with an additional, bilingual (Spanish-English) Mass at 5 p.m. Sundays. The St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Parish Community’s facilities comprise St. Francis de Sales Church, 535 Riverside Drive, Salisbury; St. Francis de Sales Chapel, Camden Avenue, Salisbury; and Holy Redeemer Church, Bi-State Boulevard at Chestnut Street, Delmar, on the Maryland side. They also have a sister-parish relationship with Nuestra Señora de La Merced (Our Lady of Mercy) in Barrio Larreynaga, Managua, Nicaragua. Advance ride tickets for community carnival offered at one-third off SALISBURY -- St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Parish Community will hold a Community Carnival on the grounds of St. Francis de Sales Church, Aug. 26-28, 2010. Advance-sale ride tickets are now available at $12 per person, all rides, all night (height restrictions may apply). During the carnival, the ride tickets will sell for $18 per person. Education about Catholicism offered for Catholics, non-Catholics SALISBURY, Md. — The St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Parish Community, with churches in both Salisbury and Delmar (Maryland side), offers education in their faith for Catholics and non-Catholics alike in separate programs: • Inquiry, a meeting for non-Catholics who have questions about Catholicism, meets at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the Monsignor Stout House at 413 Wicomico St., Salisbury. • Catechumenate, a meeting for those who are becoming Catholic, will meet at the 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Francis de Sales Church during January. • Mystagogy, a gathering of Catholics journeying in faith, meets the second Sundaay of each month at 11:30 a.m. in the Monsignor Stout House. The community’s facilities comprise St. Francis de Sales Church, 535 Riverside Drive, Salisbury; St. Francis de Sales Chapel, Camden Avenue, Salisbury; and Holy Redeemer Church, Bi-State Boulevard at Chestnut Street, Delmar.
